No, we're not filming an episode of Dads Army.
Was great to move these rigs for a customer last week. Excellent to see people looking after Australian military history.
Vehicle one was a Jeep used by the RAAF, I'm not sure what for, but probably doing recon for which hotel they would be staying at.
Vehicle two is a Clarktor Tractor used by the RAAF around WW2 to move aircraft. I believe this is 1 of only 17 that were used by the RAAF. Not sure how many still exist
.
Vehicle 3 is a very early 1958 Series 2 land rover used as a mobile welding vehicle the the Army. This one was accidentally sold by the Bandiana Museum a number of years ago and has a 1 in 3 chance it deployed to Vietnam.
Vehicle 4 which isn't pictured is a 1 of 2 series 2 land rover which was basically what is now a GMV used by RAEME.
